Description:

A comfortable, family-owned and operated hotel, the Evergreen is located a mile south of the capitol city of Roseau, near the Anchorage and Castle Comfort hotels. With its award-winning restaurant, this is a good choice for business travelers and vacationers looking for a small inn atmosphere and a variety of room choices.

The 16 air-conditioned rooms in two buildings have two beds, tile floors, phones, and TV. Ask for a sea view room as they have small balconies. A separate honeymoon cottage faces the sea and is air-conditioned with a refrigerator, phone, TV and private porch. The rooms vary in size with an adjoining tile bathroom and shower. The electricity is 220, so bring an adapter and converter if you plan on plugging in any appliances or battery chargers.

Laundry service is available, as is a small conference facility, fax and postal service. A friendly, helpful staff will make your stay enjoyable.

The Crystal Terrace Lounge overlooks the large, seaside pool and in the distance, the town of Roseau.Tasty meals are served in the ocean view restaurant overlooking the seawall and large pool. A full breakfast is included in the room rates.

Activities are endless in Dominica, just do whatever you feel like and see some new scenery every day. The hotel pool is a favorite lounge spot, or you can swim and snorkel in the Caribbean. The shoreline here is rocky and a concrete seawall is built along the shore. Large rocks make beach walking uncomfortable, so for a sandy beach, you need to travel a half-hour north to Castaways or a half-hour south to the town of Soufriere and Scotts Head at the Southern-most tip of the island.

Scuba diving, snorkeling, and whale watching trips can be arranged with neighboring dive shops. Boat cruises, day tours, horseback riding, and car rentals are also available, or venture off into Roseau for a bit of shopping for native crafts and some duty-free shops near the pier.

Dominica offers activities that will please all vacationers, families, and adventure seekers. Hiking, bird watching, whale watching, waterfalls, boiling lakes, and hot sulfur springs are just a few of the ways to keep yourself busy while visiting the Nature Isle.

Whatever activities you decide to pursue, a visit to Dominica will intrigue you, relax you, and offer vacation adventure Caribbean style.
